How It Got Its Score: The all-wheel drive Enclave's Family Friendliness score drops a bit because of lower fuel economy and higher price, but it's still quite good, with its cargo and passenger space mostly trumping its luxury price.
The 2010 Buick Enclave boasts many merits on paper that should land it on luxury crossover shopping lists around the country. First, its elegant looks do a very good job of disguising its large dimensions, and the interior is very nicely appointed even on the base CX model. The exterior dimensions translate to a huge cargo area and seating for up to eight passengers. GM's "Smart Slide" second row is designed to make ti easier to access the third row of seats. There are plenty of safety systems, but we are disappointed that collision avoidance isn't available on any Enclave, especially considering that it's quickly becoming available on many of this Buick's competitors. Regardless, this is one of the most Family Friendly luxury crossovers on the market.
