2010 Honda Civic Sedan Si

Family Friendliness: 7.3

Recommended: Not Yet Driven

Specifications apply to this model only.

What it Is: A compact five-passenger sport sedan.
What's Hot: Lots of power and sharp handling in a compact car.
What's Not:
Manual transmission only, expensive for a compact.
Family Friendly Options: Navigation, Bluetooth, USB.
How It Got Its Score: The Honda Civic Si Sedan is a lot of fun, but not particularly practical. It scores lower than the standard Civic thanks to its higher price and lower fuel economy.

The 2010 Honda Civic Sedan Si is designed for a narrow demographic, one that values a sporty car, but still wants something with an easily accessible rear seat. The Civic Si sedan fits the bill, but there are compromises, too. The Civic's cargo space is limited to only 12.0 cu.-ft., so stroller-dependent families should look elsewhere. The engine is powerful, but its fuel economy is only so-so for a small four-cylinder. Plus, it's only available with a manual transmission, which will turn off the majority of buyers. If you're looking for a sporty compact and really like sedan styling then it's a good choice, but there are other small sporty cars out there that come in hatchback form, and thus offer more cargo room. We'd give them a look, too.
