2010 Honda Accord Crosstour EX

Family Friendliness: 7.9

Recommended: Not Yet Driven

Specifications also apply to EX-L front-wheel drive models.

What it Is: A five-passenger, two-row crossover version of the Honda Accord sedan.
What's Hot: Extra cargo capacity and all-wheel drive not available on Accord sedan.
What's Not:
Cargo room smaller than competition.
Family Friendly Options: Navigation, rear backup camera, Bluetooth, USB port.
How It Got Its Score: A hatchback Accord sounds like a good idea, but the 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour has somewhat limited cargo space and a high price compared to other two-row crossovers.

On the surface, the 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour sounds like a good idea. Take the Honda Accord sedan -- already a very Family Friendly sedan -- give it more cargo room, and add all-wheel drive for those who need it. However, the Accord Crosstour didn't get the Family Friendliness score we expected for a couple of reasons. First, it's on the pricey end of the spectrum, starting at more than $30,000 with destination, and going up from there. Second, it's only available with a V-6 engine, which hurts its fuel economy. Finally, even though it looks big on the outside, cargo space lags behind many of its competitors, such as the Ford Edge. Still, the 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour has its strong points as well. While the cargo area may not be the biggest, it's quite flexible thanks to a reversible hard floor and a removable cargo tray under the floor panel. If you must have a Honda Accord, but also must have more cargo room, then the 2010 Accord Crosstour may just be the ticket.
