The Honda CR-V was one of the first compact crossovers, and is still one of the best selling from year to year. It offers a combination of a low base price, good fuel economy and a comfortable and roomy interior that other manufacturers find hard to match. The front-wheel drive LX is one fothe least expensive crossovers on the market, a key selling point and one of the reasons why it's so popular. All-wheel drive is available, and considering the minimal fuel economy and price penalty, we can say that it's worth it even if you don't live in an area prone to foul weather. However, if you need to tow or simply want more power you'll have to shop elsewhere since a V-6 isn't available on the CR-V.
