How It Got Its Score: Thanks to its size, cargo and passenger capacity, safety and relatively low price, the Honda Odyssey LX receives the highest Family Friendliness score of any vehicle on Family Car Review.
There's a reason the Honda Odyssey is viewed as the benchmark for modern minivans: It's really, really, really good. With ample room for eight, four LATCH points, good fuel economy and a low price, the LX model is an excellent bargain. If there is any downside, it's that the fuel-saving Variable Cylinder Management technology on EX-L and Touring models isn't available here. If it were, then the score would be even higher. Still, the base V-6 is just as powerful as the one available in the other models, giving it an edge against some rivals, particularly the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country. If you're minivan shopping and aren't looking at the Odyssye, you're doing yourself a serious disservice.
