How It Got Its Score: The 2011 Kia Optima EX Turbo boast more power than its competitors' V-6 engines, yet gets far better fuel economy. Along with its low price, it's a tough act to follow.

With fuel prices steadily rising, economy has become a major concern for new car buyers. But some people just don't want to give up the extra power of their big V-6 engines. Kia's solution is a highly fuel efficient turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out just as much power than its competition's V-6 engines, but with fuel efficiency that's on par with their base four-cylinders. With 274 hp there's no lack of oopmh in this midsize sedan, and there's no lack of features, either. The EX offers up a navigation system, leather seats and a host of other goodies, while the SX gives drivers a sportier driving experience. Best of all, even a fully-loaded SX barely breaches the $30,000 mark, making this big sedan a good value, too.
