2010 Mitsubishi Outlander ES Front-Wheel Drive

Family Friendliness: 8.2

Recommended: Yes

Specifications also apply to SE front-wheel drive models.

What it Is: A small, five- or seven-passenger crossover utility vehicle.
What's Hot: Aggressive looks, available third seat row (SE), tailgate
What's Not: Third row seat ruins cargo space.
Family Friendly Options: Bluetooth music streaming, USB connection (SE only)
How It Got Its Score: The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander has good fuel economy with the four-cylinder engine, and the cargo space is huge. A low price helps bring it all together.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander was redesigned this year, giving it a new nose that makes it closely resemble the popular Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart and Evolution sporty compact sedans. Behind the aggressive grille treatment is a practical and usable compact crossover with a few unique touches. Foremost among these is the flip-down tailgate, which makes loading large items easier, and also allows a comfortable seat for tailgate parties. Available as part of an option package on SE models is a third row which stows when not in use under the floor. This makes the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander one of only a handful of four-cylinder seven-passenger vehicles available. However, cargo room behind the third row is limited, and the seat is really meant only for occasional use.

After spending a week with an all-wheel drive 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS, we Recommend this vehicle...check back soon to see why.
