2010 Volkswagen Passat Wagon

Family Friendliness: 7.9

Recommended: Not Yet Driven

Specifications apply to all Passat wagon models.

What it Is: A mid-size five-passenger wagon.
What's Hot: Rare wagon in sedan and crossover-dominated market, loaded from factory.
What's Not: Pricey.
Family Friendly Options: Navigation, iPod interface.
How It Got Its Score: The 2010 Volkswagen Passat wagon has a short options list because it comes with almost everything standard. However, this drives up the price some. The added cargo room is a plus.

The 2010 Volkswagen Passat wagon is a rare wagon in a sedan- and crossover-dominated marketplace. If you're looking for a midsize wagon that's less than $30,000, then this is just about your only choice. However, it's just barely under that mark. The good news is that most everything you want comes standard, save navigation and rear side airbags. However, some things aren't even available, such as a more powerful engine or leather upholstery. The Passat wagon looks good and gets good fuel economy, but we wish a less expensive model were also available.
