How It Got Its Score: The 2010 Cadillac SRX with all-wheel drive costs more than the front-wheel drive version, which mitigates its size advantage and reduces its Family Friendliness score slightly.
The all-wheel drive version of the 2010 Cadillac SRX 3.0 offers the same advantages as the front-wheel drive version. Specifically, it offers slightly more passenger space than some competitors, but without reducing cargo space significantly, giving it an edge. Granted, many of the same features are available on the GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox, which are both based on the same underpinnings as the SRX. However, if you go that route you're missing out on one of the finest interiors that Cadillac has ever produced, and exterior styling that's among the best in its class. If you're looking for a family friendly but luxurious hauler, the SRX is a tough act to beat.
