2011 Toyota Sienna LE V-6 All-Wheel Drive
What it Is: A seven-passenger, five-door, all-wheel drive minivan.
Who it's For: Families who need sliding doors, all-wheel drive traction, maximum passenger and cargo room and no more than three LATCH points.
What's Hot: Only minivan with all-wheel drive.
What's Not: All-wheel drive only comes with seven-passenger capacity.
How It Got Its Score: With Good ratings across the board, the Sienna offers up a great score for an all-wheel drive vehicle, although it still lags the rest of the Sienna lineup.
Not only is the 2011 Toyota Sienna the only full-size minivan with a four-cylinder engine, it's also the only minivan with available all-wheel drive. However, if you live in a snowy or other foul-weather prone area and decide that you want all-wheel drive, there are a couple of things you need to know. First, the Sienna's all-wheel drive system is availlable only with the V-6 engine, so the fuel economy savings of the new four-cylinder aren't available. Second, all-wheel drive hurts fuel economy, dragging down the EPA combined rating to 18 mpg, versus 20 mpg for front-wheel drive V-6 models. Finally, all-wheel drive Siennas can only seat seven passengers. Still, the all-wheel drive system doesn't penalize the Sienna's Family Friendliness rating much, thanks to the fact that you can get one in a mid-level LE for around $32,000.
