What it Is: A traditional front-wheel drive minivan.
Who it's For: Families who appreciate the value of sliding doors.
What's Hot: A premium nameplate at a relatively low price.
What's Not: Weak engine, with not much of a fuel economy advantage.
How It Got Its Score: The Town & Country LX's low price gives it an advantage.
The 2010 Chrysler Town & Country comes in three models; base LX, midlevel Touring and top-of-the-line Limited. Since each has its own combination of engine and transmission, they're listed separately here. The LX has the lowest price of the three, but also has the smallest and least powerful engine. While this usually nets you an advantage in fuel economy, that's not really the case here, as the LX actually has lower highway and combined fuel economy than the more expensive Limited version.
Considering the so-so fuel economy and lack of features, we'd recommend skipping the LX and just buying the Limited model. You'll spend more, but you also get better fuel economy and access to the features that really make the Town & Country worth considering in the first place.
