2010 Acura TSX Four Cylinder
What it Is: An entry-level luxury compact sedan.
What's Hot: Might be best-looking Acura currently available.
What's Not: V-6 models can get pricey.
Family Friendly Options: Navigation, keyless entry, back-up camera (Technology package)
How It Got Its Score: The Acura TSX is a good looking compact sedan, with lots of luxury features. However, its $30,000 asking price and compact dimensions hurt its Family Friendliness score.
The Acura TSX offers a compelling package for those seeking luxury surroundings but who need good fuel economy. While the TSX may not offer the lowest fuel economy on the market, its four-cylinder offers plenty of power but still delivers a combined average of 25 mpg, not too shabby. The TSX may also be the best looking Acura currently available, as the now-signature Acura grille treatment looks best on this compact sporty sedan. For the 2010 model year the TSX got an optional V-6 engine, but its significantly higher price and lower fuel economy hurt its Family Friendliness score. Even without the V-6, the TSX's Family Friendliness suffers somewhat because of its compact size, small trunk and $30,000 price tag. However, we like the available navigation system and a back-up camera in a vehicle this size is somewhat rare, even in the luxury segment. We think that the TSX is definitely worth a look if you're in the entry-level luxury segment.
