2010 Cadillac CTS 3.6 V-6 All-Wheel Drive

Family Friendliness: 7.1

Recommended: Not Yet Driven

Specifications apply to all-wheel drive models with the 3.6-liter V-6.

What it Is: A premium four-door, five-passenger all-wheel drive luxury sedan.
What's Hot: Beautiful to look at, bigger than similarly priced competitors.
What's Not: Expensive, options add up quickly.
Family Friendly Options: Bluetooth, navigation, backup camera, USB port.
How It Got Its Score: Normally the fuel economy and price penalties of all-wheel drive drop the Family Friendliness score, but not here, as the all-wheel drive 2010 Cadillac CTS 3.6 comes in with the same score as the rear-drive version.

The 2010 Cadillac CTS with all-wheel drive and the 3.6-liter V-6 engine is a step above the base model, offering more standard features and power, but without a huge hit on fuel economy. Surprisingly, even though it's more expensive than the rear-wheel drive version, its fuel economy is the same, and its Family Friendliness score remains the same. The all-wheel drive CTS offers the same advantages as the rear-drive models -- it's bigger than cars like the Audi A4, offering more passenger and cargo space -- but with the added comfort of all-wheel drive, which can be an advantage in bad weather. Enthusiasts may gripe that you can't get a manual transmission in this model (it's available in rear-drive versions), but otherwise there's little to dislike about the CTS. Did we mention it's beautiful inside and out?
